How to Make Savory Shrimp Dirty Rice
- In a large skillet, warm up a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil if needed, then brown the ground pork sausage for approximately 5 minutes.
- Toss in the diced onion, green bell pepper, and celery. Sauté for about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in the rice and toast it for 1-2 minutes.
- Carefully add the chicken broth to the skillet and bring it to a boil.
