How to Make Shrimp and Mussels in Creamy Garlic Sauce
  1. Clean the mussels by rinsing them under running water and discarding any that don’t close when tapped.
  2. If shrimp isn’t prepped, peel and devein it.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Add cleaned mussels and cover the skillet to steam for about 5 minutes.
  7. Fold in shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  8. Lower the heat, stir in the heavy cream, and let it simmer.
  9. Finish with lemon juice, zest, and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  10. Serve immediately, optionally with crusty bread.
