  • 3 oz. Créme de Cassis Substitute with raspberry liqueur if needed.
  • 1.5 oz. Simple Syrup Homemade by dissolving equal parts of water and sugar.
Fruits
  • 1 Large Granny Smith Apples Swap with Honeycrisp apples for sweetness.
  • 3 Blood Oranges Sliced into thin rounds.
  • 1 cup Blackberries Raspberries or blueberries can be used.
  • 1 Pomegranate Seeds Dried cranberries can serve as a substitute.
For Serving
  • 1 oz. Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed is best.

Preparation Steps
  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher, mix together the light red wine, créme de cassis, and simple syrup until well blended.
  2. Add Fruits: Gently toss in the sliced apples, blood oranges, blackberries, and pomegranate seeds.
  3. Chill the Mixture: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate the sangria for up to a day.
  4. Prepare for Serving: Right before serving, fill a punch bowl or glasses with ice and strain the sangria mixture over the ice.
  5. Add Fizz: Top each serving with chilled Italian soda and stir gently to combine.
