  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef can substitute with lean ground turkey or chicken
  • 1 large Egg acts as a binder
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard can swap with Dijon or omit
  • cup Finely Chopped Onion or Shallot or garlic for stronger taste
  • cup Bread Crumbs can use panko or crushed crackers
  • ¼ teaspoon Dried Parsley optional, can use fresh
  • ¼ teaspoon Dried Garlic Powder optional, can substitute with fresh minced garlic
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce pick a flavorful sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Paprika smoked paprika for deeper flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce can substitute with soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Salt or to taste

Method
 

How to Make Sticky BBQ Slow Cooker Meatballs
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine lean ground beef, egg, mustard, chopped onion, bread crumbs, and seasonings. Mix well until combined.
  2. Scoop out small portions of the mixture—about 1 teaspoon each—and roll into tightly shaped meatballs.
  3. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Brown the meatballs in batches for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In your slow cooker, blend the BBQ sauce, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  5. Gently place the browned meatballs into the sauce, cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours.
  6. Once cooked, keep them warm in the slow cooker until ready to serve.
