Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat a drizzle of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Stir in taco seasoning and water, simmer for about 2-3 minutes. Mix in the salsa con queso until everything is well combined.
- Lightly spray an 8-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Lay one tortilla at the bottom, then spread about ⅓ of the beef mixture over it, followed by ⅓ of the shredded cheese. Repeat this layering process two more times, finishing with the remaining beef mixture and a generous topping of cheese.
- Place the assembled casserole into the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
- Let the casserole sit for a few minutes to set the layers before slicing and serving.
