  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Regular paprika can be a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Italian seasoning can be used instead.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Fresh chopped onion works too.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Can be omitted if using minced garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Adjust based on preference.
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional for extra heat.
  • 1/4 cup cilantro Fresh herb; parsley can be substituted.
  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Can substitute with shrimp or pork.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime juice, and white vinegar until combined and emulsified.
  2. Incorporate the minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and optional cayenne pepper.
  3. Gently fold in chopped fresh cilantro.
  4. Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish.
  5. Pour the prepared marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.
  6. Refrigerate the marinated chicken for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  7. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 375-450°F (190-232°C).
  8. Grill the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
